PVS- An Excuse To Kill Handicapped

February 9th, 2008 by Vlad | No Comments | Filed in Euthanasia, PVS

I had some issues with Fox Channel in the pass, however I must admit that no other program even attempts to bring forth issues like PVS (aka persistent vegetative state). A medical condition? More like an excuse to kill handicapped. It is a shame that after Terry Schiavo demise our legislators in Washington DC did not attempt to enact the laws to prevent another handicapped person killed.

abortion

Selective Outrage posted at RealChoice. Christina has compiled a list of women who have died from “safe and legal” abortions. The list is at least 5 times as long as the list containing the names of those who died from abortion before Roe vs Wade legalized it. Abortion kills no matter how do you twist it. It kills babies but it also kills mothers.

January 7: Big day in Aurora Planned Parenthood saga posted at jillstanek.com. Jill, once again, is bringing attention to Aurora Planned Parenthood saga. Planned Parenthood lied through all the process of getting permits from the city of Aurora zoning board before building their death camp there. Make sure to visit Jill’s blog from more coverage of Aurora Planned Parenthood saga.

embionic reaserch

“Imposing Our Beliefs” on Others posted at National Pro-Life Action Center. From the page:

in the United States we have stringent federal laws that protect not only the national bird, the bald eagle, but also that eagle’s eggs. If you were to chance upon some of them in a nest out in the wilderness, it would be illegal for you to destroy those eggs. By the force of law, we recognize how the egg of the bald eagle, that is to say, the embryonic eagle inside that egg, is the same creature as the glorious bird that we witness flying high overhead. Therefore we pass laws to safeguard not only the adult but also the very youngest member of that species. Even atheists can see how a bald eagle’s eggs should be protected; it’s really not a religious question at all. What’s so troublesome is how we are able to understand the importance of protecting the earliest stages of animal life but when it comes to our own human life, a kind of mental disconnect takes place. Our moral judgment quickly becomes murky and obtuse when we desire to do certain things that are not good, like having abortions, or destroying embryonic humans for their stem cells.

euthanasia

Apologetics | Sanctity of Life | Euthanasia posted at The Christian Institute. From the article:

Holland has allowed voluntary euthanasia for some years, but the Dutch Government has acknowledged that there is a serious problem with involuntary euthanasia. Furthermore, in 2004 the Dutch Government called for an investigation into the non-reporting of euthanasia by doctors.7 One study suggested only 54% of cases were reported in 2001.

abortion

Woman gets 15 years for 2nd degree murder of her preborn baby posted at jillstanek.com: “On December 21, 31-year-old Theresa Lee Hernandez was sentenced to 15 years in prison in an Oklahoma court after pleading guilty to 2nd degree murder for causing her 8-month-old baby’s stillbirth in 2004 by using methamphetamine while pregnant.”

How empowering is it? posted at The S.I.C.L.E: “A man is never asked about his past abortions when visiting a doctor. Woman is asked this question even during unrelated visits to doctors.”

The Problems With Huckabee posted at MInTheGap. While everyone is dancing around Huckabee these days, MInTheGap, is questioning whether or not we are missing something. The author points out Ann Coulter’s write up on the issue.

embryonic research

Is a Blastocyst an Embryo? posted at Flash Point: “Be careful not to be confused by those who support the pursuit of embryonic stem cell research. I see them deliberately moving between the use of terms like ‘blastocyst’ and ‘embryo’ in order to create confusion because if you believe an embryo is a human being, but don’t believe a blastocyst is yet an embryo, why would you object to this area of research?”

euthanasia

The Cost of the Call posted at Robert’s Legacy: “JHS, Esq. spent six years litigating the plight of Robert Wendland, a disabled California man whose wife wanted to remove his feeding tube, thereby bringing about his death. In this series of articles about her experiences, she discusses the journey to a victory before the California Supreme Court and the toll it took on ALL involved in the case. The story of Robert Wendland is a cautionary tale, emphasizing the need for all competent adults to detail their post-competency desires regarding ongoing care, treatment, and who should be responsible for making medical treatment decisions.”
