As I commented on the blog post of a friend of mine, on my way from work this morning I prayed for Obama. I also prayed for American people, 52% of whom made grave mistake electing Mr. Obama to the office of the president of this country.

Politics are like swing of a pendulum on many levels. While Obama may have won the election, he had began loosing long before the ballots where cast.

As the president of this country, he will be changed to protect lives o millions of Americans across the globe. The problem is that Mr. Obama has no clue, or for the sake of his political career does not want to acknowledge the origin of life. I can’t trust anyone to protect my life when it is above his pay grade to know when my life began. I can’t trust anyone to protect my life who does not believe that my live is a great gift from God.

It has been reported that support for Obama was overwhelming among the minority groups. I believe firmly that if it was not for abortion, many minorities may in fact have become majorities. In New Jersey alone overwhelming majority of babies killed through abortion are black.

Obama’s opposition to “Born Alive Protection Act” is even more troubling. Born Alive Protection Act was designed to protect the lives of babies that were born during botched abortions. Not even one of the US senators opposed the legislation. Identical legislation was defeated in Illinois state senate by the opposition lead by then IL senator Barak Obama.

No matter how much our media will try to deify Obama, his election is not a divine act but a mistake of millions of Americans.

I prayed that God will overlook our mistakes and to give us courage to recognize the times we have done wrong.

Barak Obama on several occasions had opposed to the bills that would protect children like Gianna, who were born live during botched abortions. But what do you expect from a politician who thinks that fundamental question about beginning of the human live is above his “pay grade”?

John McCain has made his choice. Surprising every one and delivering a blow to self proclaimed “agents of change” Obama and Biden.

While many in the media were pounding today that she lacks of experience, the opposite is true. Governor Palin has more experience than Obama, yet she is only to be our next vice president.

A mother of five children can certainly connect to many mothers across this country. Her support for pro-life movement is admirable. We will never know, but I would not be surprised that doctors may have offered her a “choice” when it was discovered her youngest child suffered from Down Syndrome. Action speak lauder than words. It is clear that Sarah Palin recognizes the sanctity of every human life.

The abortion issue just got worse for both Obama and Biden and will most like follow them up to November 4. Obama may have been trying to soften his ultra left approach to abortion in choosing Biden, introducing him as a “devout catholic”. The problem is that although Biden rated slightly lower by NARAL, he is still as liberal as one can get on abortion issue.

Indeed this election season is turning to be truly historic. While I personally do not subscribe to the believe that politicians will change the field of abortion. The change must happen first in the hearts of men and women around this country. Never the less this issue is very important one. I how can I trust some one to protect my life if they can’t show respect to the weakest among us, the unborn babies?

If I could my vote would be for McCain/Palin and I hope so will yours.

I was interested in this movie from the very fist time I’ve heard about it. Amazing story about a man who “had it all” and lost everything just to find things that truly matter in life. It is an incredible story about love that is willing to sacrifice without expecting anything in return.

Bella was available only to privately arranged screening in the theaters across US and Canada prior to this release. I kept an eye for such screening in New Jersey, but unfortunately I never saw the movie. This movie is also becoming available through Netflix today as well.

I wanted comment shortly about this song. But I don’t think this song needs an interpretation. Enjoy it.

The author of Accidental Russofile commenting on my blog has accused me of building a straw man. I can argue my position by pointing out that “pro-choice” stance is more about keeping abortion legal than offering a real choice. Many men and women are so misinformed about abortion and possible devastating aftermath that their decision to abort can be called anything but a free choice. But that misinformation is not limited to the abortion. It appears that such misinformation carries into many other areas as well. Stem cell research is one such area.

Just take a look at the following announcement of Massachusetts Biotechnology Council:

Some consider stem cell research the Holy Grail of regenerative medicine. Others view the idea as morally wrong. But what would you do if your child became paralyzed from the waist down and you had access to the research that might allow them to walk again one day? These questions our society continues to grapple with. Follow a respected neurologist into the unknown territory of stem cell research.

Talk about the straw man! I am wondering why the word embryonic is omitted? The above paragraph is presenting a lie from the very start. We, in pro-life movement, are not against the stem cell research. In fact we welcome and support the research in the area as along as the cells are not taken from embryos- effectively destroying embryos in the process. We indeed encourage such a research. The other lie in that short paragraph is hidden behind suffering of an innocent people who may be suffering from presently incurable diseases. As if by opposing destroying embryos we indeed depriving these poor people from hope that one day a cure will be found. The fallacy here lies in the fact that so far no evidence has been presented that cells derived from the embryos have actually contribute to curing a disease. In fact there are better hopes that adult stem cell research can be more beneficial. One of the “fathers” of Dolly the Sheep has abandoned the experimenting with human embryos:

Wilmut’s announcement come as a definite blow to those who favor embryonic stem cell research. Hopefully the American “scientists” begin to catch up as well and turning their efforts and research into the area free of moral and ethical problems. Otherwise they have no choice but to stick to their “straw men”.

There is one big inconsistency in the pro-abortion camp. Today I was doing a little research on the presidential candidates. I am sure every concerned citizen of this country is doing the same. How can you not?!! After Iowa behind us and New Hampshire is just days away, we need to be concerned or at least interested who will lead this country in about 12 months. As some one that is concerned about candidates stance on abortion, I am defying the majority of Facebook- they want to hear more about economy. I on the other hand wanted to hear more about candidates stance on abortion. While I ma very familiar with republican candidates position on the issue, admittedly I did not know much about their rivals stance on abortion. So I decided to spend a little more time to study them. I am neither shocked nor am I surprised by what was I able to learn. I did however found one interesting similarity. No matter how strong was pro-abortion stance of any of the democratic candidates, every single one of them, one time or another, acknowledged that things should be done to reduce abortions.

My question is why? The pro-abortion activists shout on the top of their lungs that right to abortion empowers women. Should not we strive to increase the number abortion since they are so empowering? Where is the consistency???

The list is at least 5 times as long as the list containing the names of those who died from abortion before Roe vs Wade legalized it. Abortion kills no matter how do you twist it. It kills babies but it also kills mothers.
