Discover Readers You Never Knew You Had with FeedBurner FeedSmith Plugin

May 27, 2007 – 7:32 am

I have been reading lately a lot about FeedBurner FeedSmith plugin, but never would have guessed how much of a difference will it make to use this plugin.

The function of the plugin is very simple, to redirect all your feed links to your FeedBurner feed. Since I have been using this big subscription button on my blog, I just presumed no one would bother to subscribe to my blog via other links. I guess I was mistake. But how much mistaken was I. Well two days ago I had only 43 subscribers, and today the feedburner widget is showing me that I have 94 readers.

It may have been that I gained over 40 subscribers over last two days, but I think it has more to do with discovering subscribers I never knew I had. Anyway, great plugin. Give it a try!

  3. Now go to Bloglines, and create an account if you don’t have one.

Then claim both feeds and merge them into one
