Google Adsense Arbitrage- Finally The Step In the Right Direction
May 24, 2007 – 10:51 amI am really behind on things, so I am not even sure if the rumor of Google closing down on so called arbitrage websites materialized or not. But evidently the rumor itself was enough to spook some big players in the industry- one wish is that Jeremy would explain and maybe show few examples of “good” arbitrage websites so the rest of us could have a better understanding what Google AdSense arbitrage is. The times I have come across arbitrage websites was while wearing shoes of an advertiser, and these sites really suck.
You can have an understanding of things without actually doing them. You don’t need to get hit by a stick constantly just to understand what the pain is.
I am happy Google is moving this direction, even if it is only rumor. There is of course very simple way to avoid getting ripped by arbitrage websites- turn off your “content advertising” this will ensure that no greedy arbitrage publisher will be able to show your ads.

I am not too much dealing with adsense, although
I receive checks from them from time to time.
So arbitrage isn’t for me.
Just a question Vlad: How did you install this related post plug-ins? I went on Semiologic page, but it seemed complicated to me.

Frank this part of UTW plugin after you install it go to Andy Beard’s blog to get the code:
http://andybeard.eu/2007/01/related-posts-with-utw.html
With Andy’s code you can configure the number of posts to be displayed.

Thank you Vlad, I already installed UTW3. I will check Andy’s blog.

I am so glad that this isn’t only a rumor, but that Google has followed through. The internet is too cluttered with junky sites — this move is one that should begin to clean everything up.

I really am not sure how much clean up actually took place, I have not been advertising on “content” network for a long long time.

I would love to see it happen, but even now, many months later, I still feel like the content network is generally not worth the time because of the low quality traffic you often get.
