Happy New Year Vlad! I’m convinced you can achieve a solid PR5 by the end of this year. :-)

I am not sure about that Case,

I have been slapped by Google then of course I made a mistake to ban Googlebot from my site.

I have to say that traffic was really good lately so as long as it stays that way I am not that worried about my page rank. It will however help to gain incoming links.

Google hit the blogs that were blatantly advertising pay per post. Nothing wrong with providing that service, but its a mistake to advertise it where Google can see it.

Any sort of sponsored reviews and selling PR links will get you in trouble as far as Google is concern. Although I think they do not approach the issue objectively, their index belongs to them and not me- they have right to do with it whatever they want. Sure I was upset over it but the bottom line is they are leaders of the search industry and as such they can't be liked by anyone. Interesting thing is though that as I have changed the direction of my blog, these things have become less important to me, however the traffic from Google is on the rise.

I would just say write good articles and forget about your rank. So what if your article ranks well but it is really not so good?
