Month of Madness: Will I Make $1,300 in One Month with Paid Reviews?

Date May 30, 2007

One of the latest visitors and commentators on this blog has managed to make $1,300/month in paid or sponsored posts and reviews. You can read some of those reviews at The Article Writer.

Needless to say, I am very skeptical about that. Is it really possible to make $1,300 in sponsored reviews? Sure there are some people who can make this amount of money just by writing one single review. But what about average blogger? How about those that just starting?

Well, I am on the path to find out. I may not qualify as beginner in blogging or Internet marketing, I am far from making $1,300 in one single review. In fact, I think it is impossible with my blog+Pay Per Post to make $1,300, hence in my quest I will employ ReviewMe and SponsoreReviews as well.

Now in order to experience this quest as closely as any beginner would, I will be writing reviews exclusively on this blog and will follow these rules:

  1. I will chose to write review about websites, products and services related closely to affiliate marketing and making money on the Internet- that may also include SEO, SEM e cetera… The reason I choose to follow this rule is that if you are a beginner you should probably stick to niche- unless you have no long terms goals.
  2. No more that 1/3 of my reviews will be sponsored. I personally think that if every 3rd post is a sponsored one you are cutting close with your readership base.

So do you think I am going to make it? Do you want to join me on this experiment? Just follow above rules including to use only one blog to write the reviews.

Do you think it’s mad? You can stop this madness today by buying a review from me at $1,300. To shorten the pain and suffering of my current subscribers or future visitors, specially those who will visit my blog for the next 30 days, you can do the following:

I have to admit this started as semi-joke, but I think now I can see some good things coming out of it. With my other affiliate websites, my goals are more predetermined- after all most of them receive a traffic that was paid for and I can’t afford not to make money with those. When it comes to this blog, I really have to goal and it certainly is not making any money. So even if I do not make $1,300 during next 30 days, good chances are there will be more content on my blog, if I follow rule #2 that is. Either way I think I am going to have real good time conducting this experiment.

Fell free to wish me luck or join me on this experiment.
