Out Of Supplemental Results In Google

May 23rd, 2007 by Vlad | Filed under Other (Fom Old Blog).

About a week ago I have noticed that that only 8 pages from this website were in supplemental results, comparing to about 700 a month ago:

I have started to keep an eye on this statistics with Aaron Wall’s FireFox SEO Tool after reading Andy’s tips on getting out of the supplemental results.

I was not sure what difference does it make to have less pages in supplemental results. While it has been only one week since I noticed the change, I really had not seen more traffic to my website. In fact some of my other site get more traffic from the natural search results while having 90% of the pages in so called supplemental results.

I guess I am trying to figure out why are these numbers important when it comes to SEO. I am sure there is a reason Aaron’s widget shows these numbers, I just need to figure out how to benefit from it. Please enlighten me on the subject.
