Redistribution Of Wealth = STEALING
October 30th, 2008 by Vlad | Filed under Barack Obama, Politics.
It is puzzling and actually disgusting that so many Americans seem to accept the notion (proposed by Mr. Obama) of redistribution of wealth.
I am not rich. I do not make $250,000 a year. Heck I don’t even make $100,000 a year. So no matter how many times Obama/Biden team lower the bar defining rich in this country, I am still poor…. I just wonder how soon will I qualify as “rich” if Obama becomes a president.
Why am I saying anything about redistribution of wealth, you ask? Am I not going to benefit from this redistribution of wealth???
My answer to your question is that I see redistribution of wealth as stealing. Plain and simple. Unlike most of Americans, I have had the first hand experience of the effect Marxist/Communist philosophy can have on countries.
Redistribution of wealth, often enforced by law, takes away property from one group of people and attempts to give it to another group of people. In some countries, rich people were proclaimed “enemies of the people” and were shot or sent to all sorts of Gulags- simply to have the process of stealing “legitimized” in he eye of the people. I hope this country will avoid such a path.
Redistribution of wealth will create the feeling of entitlement to what is not yours. Just as in case of stealing. When stealing is legitimized, the conscious can grow insensitive and can affect our society for ages.
What most fail to learn from former Soviet Union and other communist regimes is that ultimately communism fails. Mostly because following Karl Marx these regimes are “angry with God” and regard religion as “opium of the people”.
Another element of the socialist/communist regimes is that the rights, freedom and dignity of the individual person are often sacrificed in favor of the “good of society/community”. Any intelligent person reading the Bill of Rights can quickly conclude that principles on which this country was built is completely opposite to the lunatic ideas of Karl Marx.
If you are an American Citizen and are going to vote on Tuesday, I beg not to let this country embrace communist philosophy- do not vote for Obama.

Redistribution of wealth implies that somebody has already distributed it. The distribution of wealth for the past eight years has been biased, via the tax code, in a way that concentrates the wealth into the hands of the already wealthy.
I agree that theft has taken place. Let's set that right.
Your nuts and what would you call the bank bailout capitalism, not staling from US right
What about social security is that capitalism, welfare, food stamps, health care payed by the tax payer is that capitalism government jobs or projects is that capitalism.
The problem with you and people that think like you is you don't know what capitalism is because most of our country is socialist already, public schools is not pat of capitalism its a place you learn enough to understand you are a slave to capitalism, bet you went to a privet school.
I vote for no one I don't need a dam leader because I am my own dam leader
And what prevents the redistributed wealth from becoming re-redistributed? You don't end war by firing back. You just warrant retaliation.
Wealth distribution itself is theft and governments involved in it are thieves for hire. A government's role is to ensure liberty from injustice, not to promote it through the forceful, arbitrary, usurpation of wealth. Demanding through force in the name of others, or in the name of the poor, or even in the name of all humanity, doesn't absolve such a demand of its unfairness. It is a demand for individuals to relinquish their freedom and submit to being treated as slaves or children, for the sake of promoting the opinion and interests of a temp bureaucrat, and his buddy contributors. It undermines the effort of the workers, who can't control their own production and it stalls development in the industries that become monopolized by centralized management.
Whatever measures should be taken to help the poor, they ought to appeal rationally to the individual, and be carried out only by his volition. They should not be forced upon him, and power should not be surrendered to one man or institution to do the enforcing, while deciding how and on whom.
Being poor doesn't make you deserving. Having a need doesn't make you deserving. Being human makes you deserving. Merit makes you deserving. The only thing wealth distribution does is strip individuals in society of their humanity, and make their hard earned merits meaningless.
Don't fall for it. Stop feeding the scam. You're keeping politicians in business, when what we need to solve society's problems are more scientists, technicians, teachers and the like, whom without the politicians would be free to work on practical solutions to our problems instead of ways of promoting agendas.
John,
Welcome to my blog. And I don't think you are an imbecile and retard just because you decided to be rude to me…..
Generally I delete comments like this. But i am willing to give you another chance
….
Welcome to my blog Mr. Anarchist.
Wow, obviously you have no idea what anarchy is, nor socialism for that matter.
No, I'm afraid this analysis is ludicrous. Obama's tax plan does not raise taxes on any household earning under $250,000, and any individual earning under $200,000. At any bracket below that, you will receive a tax cut. The above groups account for 95% of American citizens.
The progressive tax in America was instituted by Teddy Roosevelt, and has been around since the time of Lincoln. It was supported in some form by the overwhelming majority of economists since the general success of capitalist societies.
Taxes on the higher wage-earning brackets will be returned to their levels as of 1993-2000, and no higher. This was the period of the longest economic expansion in U.S. History, leading to a $200 billion dollar budget surplus, which is now a slightly less robust number.
Calling it “wealth redistribution” now is silly and fearmongering at best.
Aaron,
I am not as much concerned with his tax plan, although some may wonder why his plan gets adjusted with each day.
To be fair I would love to see McCain casting his vote against the ridiculous bailout. Fortunately my representative voted against it twice.
What worries me about Obama is that no one, at least no one in the mainstream media with the exception of FOX is asking the question about who is this man?
His associations with “Anarchists and Marxists” is troubling. His statement few years ago that one of the shortcomings of the civil right movement was that they come short of achieving “re-distributive” legislation.
I am one of those 95% you mentioned. And I do not want any one's money, no matter how rich they are.
A promise of returning taxes to their levels of 2000 is just that – a promise. A promise made by a man whom I would not trust with my life (which is the topic in itself).
I am glad you stopped by. Hope you will comment again some time.
Thanks I like being call Mr. Anarchist
As for the redistributed wealth the great Huey P Long is my idol and it has come time for the people of this country to understand most people make way less than $80,000.00 a year much less $250,000.00, I think Huey P Long had the best plan and would have worked. Its in the best interest of people making less than $100,000.00 to vote for Obama, I'll be truthful I will not vote for either because neither McCain or Obama has a plan and besides I will not vote for a black president since I am not black and I will not vote for a guy that has been tortured, think about that, what kind of crazy stuff is going on in his head, and he running for president
This morning news at Yahoo News
Obama aunt from Kenya living in US illegally
To hear my Idol go heer

Johnny,
All being said. I think is absolutely disgraceful they are bringing in Obama's aunt situation. I may have a different prospective, since I am an immigrant myself. Granted, I am here legally. However there are many people that now are legally in this country but in the past their status was just like Obama's aunt.
If it was my aunt and I was in Obama shoes, I would do everything in my power to help her out. I would rather question his relationship with all these controversial individuals rather than bringing up his aunt's status. Ridiculous.
Vlad, as you know we now have a new president and I'm happy that the halve white man won and we should all hope for good changes and I hope he brings them about.
So I don't think they will show up at your home asking for all your money, but if they do give with a good heart and know its for a good cause and be happy you make that much money, because many people in our country try their hardest to archive higher income but they just fall short and yes some are just plain lazy, so I hope the new president makes them go to work.
John,
As a matter of fact I said a prayer for Obama. The economy is least problem
as far as I am concerned. His stand on abortion is very troubling- his
support for abortion in particular. I know that God has power to change
people's heart. And that is my hope for Obama, in fact I planing to write
about it.
