Social Bookmarking Plugin
January 2nd, 2007 by Vlad | Filed under Other (Fom Old Blog). Some time ago, after having become fascinated with Digg, I have written this little code that allows you to put a Digg button to your posts. When users click the button they are automatically directed to the submit page on Digg.com, while script picks up the title of your post together with a excerpt from the post’s content inserting them into the appropriate fields.
While I am no longer as big of a fan of Digg.com as I was in the past, my fascination with social bookmarking still alive. I just came across the Sociable WordPress Plugin that allows you to place the icons like you see below this post. If you are into social bookmarking thing, this is a great little tool that can enhance your blog.
This plugin allows you show little submit buttons to 25 different social bookmarking websites, while you have control on whether or not a particular button will appear on your wesbite and in what order. Great little tool for those of us who are “social bookmarking freaks”. Enjoy!
