Wordtracker: Measuring The Buzz Around Oscar Nominations

February 26, 2007 – 1:53 am

Following press release caught my attention. Wordtracker, a keyword research company that stores a database of over 300 million search terms that people have used over the past 90 days had published a list of searches related to Oscar nominations.

Personally I can care less about the Oscar but I have experimented with Wordtracker in the past. Although I never was able to purchase their yearly package, which comes at $275.92, I managed to use their “free trial” to set up my first ever pay per click campaign. I think my next purchase might just be their yearly subscription. You can give them a try for free. There is a limit to how many keywords you will be able to download. Great keyword research tool.

  2. Nice coverage of The Oscars. I actually took another route and looked at sentiment analysis . Not sure I got closer because the Oscars’ academy is not necessarily the wisdom of crowds. Awesome show, though. I loved it.

  6. As with WordTracker you can also try the KeywordDiscovery - Keyword Research Tool which has a much larger keyword database. Great for tail end and niche keyword research.
